In the feature image of this text you can see the interior design for our magnificent brainchild, the catamaran apartment. Today we will tell you more about the hidden hero of this project, the powerful kitchen worktop made of Kerrock.
What is Kerrock?
For those who are not familiar with this amazing material, Kerrock is a great solution for kitchen or bathroom surfaces that are damage-resistant and will successfully stand any test of time. Based on a combination of aluminum hydroxide and acrylic-based polymer, it is also resistant to UV lights and heat. Moreover, it is self-extinguishing. How cool and safe is that?
Kerrock in Our Designs
This time around, we will show you how we used it in our designs.
One of the greatest qualities of Kerrock is the fact it has a very pleasant, natural feel as if touching a real stone. Yet, most of the users are happy with it because it is easy to maintain and clean with common products. If you choose the Kerrock+ option, you get a material that can actually clean itself. Yup, you read it right. Its structure has an integrated anti-bacterial agent which destroys all bacteria as soon as they touch the surface, and their further development is prevented. For this reason, Kerrock is usually utilized in kitchen design for cozy family apartments.
Versatility and Aesthetic Appeal
Another great thing about Kerrock is the fact that it comes in 92 different color schemes, even with the effect of transparency. Therefore, it can be used not only for kitchens and bathrooms but for various modern facades, hotel lobbies, working areas, laboratories and (as seen from our catamaran example) any kind of portable houses as well.
Kerrock in Workspaces
Due to its wide adaptability, Kerrock can be used in working spaces designed to be used by many people on a daily basis. Simple, yet stylistically impeccable, clean, white surfaces are probably the best solution for such requirements. One practical office solution with Kerrock in the spotlight can be seen in our Pop Art office project.
