Fine Wine Shop Interior Design in the UK

Architecture & Interior

A short while ago, we took part in the wine shop interior design process in the Cheshire county in northwestern England. Today, we finally have the chance to present it.

The Vision for Define Food and Wine

Define Food and Wine, as we know it today, is a place you go to in need of a tasty bite of cheese, a light meal and a glass of extraordinary wine. In case you like it (and you probably will), you can even buy a bottle and take it home. In other words, our client wanted us to visualize his shop as a bright, welcoming place, with many wooden details and shelves to store their wine on.

Creating a Welcoming Environment

I want to create an environment that is smart and sleek, but warm and casual at the same time. It will be a place where people can come for coffee, a light lunch, afternoon tea and a wine bar in the evenings. Alongside all that, we need to retain the feel and the fact that, first and foremost, this is a wine merchant, a place where people feel comfortable shopping for wine to take home – said Jon Campbell, Define’s owner.

Design Highlights

As expected, most of the attention was dedicated to the impressive glass ceiling that highlighted the unusual geometry of the space. This is because our client wanted to try to retain the heritage of the building, despite adding an extension to the existing object.
