How does it sound to sail to one of the distant shores in the trimaran 100 feet long? Excitement is the first word that can cross our minds. Trimaran Airbender 100, made for over-ocean tours, has adrenaline capsules on its sides. They offer the indescribable feeling of lighting fast moving on the water. Although we designed this vessel five years ago, it is still one of the most ambitious projects of our studio.
Spacious Accommodations
Two sleeping cabins can host up to 12 people. In the central part of the boat, they are connected to the spacious saloon. If we compare the layout and the space usage to other vessels of the same type, this project looks very advanced.
Innovative Interior Design
Designing a powerful trimaran where people can feel comfortable during long sailing routes was a big deal for us. Usually, trimarans that sail across the ocean have less space, so sailors feel cramped inside and can’t imagine spending nine days on the open sea like that. So, we chose the minimalistic style for the interior, inspired by traditional Japanese interiors.
Maximizing Space with Modern Solutions
Besides that, we added some innovative solutions for maximum space usage ( like foldable tables hidden in tatami floor coverings). These coverings are created in a modern style. Together with other elements hidden inside, they make the interior neat, comfortable and safe even when sailings are very fast.
That’s not all – because of these solutions saloon is very lightweight, improving the overall boat’s performance. This trimaran can host up to 12 people, divided into two cabins in the central part of the boat.
Collaborative Effort with European Professionals
Two more European professionals worked on this project with Svetlana Mojić Džakula, the director of the studio Salt & Water. Joao Alexandre Pinto Ferreira is a naval architect from Portugal, and Coşkun Kocagöz is an industrial designer from Turkey.
