Interior Refit of Motor Yacht Silent World

Refit of the interior of motor yacht Silent World in neutral tones

When the new owners purchased Silent World, they wanted to make her interior more contemporary, lighter, and calmer. The existing interior featured two contrasting wood tones, which made the spaces feel visually complex. Since all the wooden panelling was to remain unchanged, our task was to introduce greater balance through carefully selected new elements and bring the interior together into a cohesive whole.

Calming the Existing Interior

The refit was planned around the parts of the yacht that would remain unchanged, including the wall and ceiling panels, bathrooms and galley. Rather than introducing additional materials and new contrasts, we wanted to soften the relationship between the two existing wood tones.

The new upholstery, carpets and curtains were selected not merely as individual decorative elements, but as a calmer and more consistent layer connecting all the spaces. A restrained palette of white, beige and other soft neutral tones reduced the visual complexity of the existing interior, making it feel lighter and more welcoming.

A More Cohesive and Comfortable Interior

New pieces of loose furniture were introduced in the main salon, dining area, sky lounge, cabins and exterior decks. Existing elements that were well made and still in excellent condition were retained and reupholstered in new materials.

For the salon, we designed new tables and sofas, which were then produced according to our technical drawings. Their dimensions, proportions and level of comfort were tailored to the specific spaces and the way the yacht is used.

We redesigned every table specifically for this yacht, adapting its proportions and details to its location and intended purpose. The new tabletops feature a stone-textured finish, introducing a more contemporary material expression and visually connecting the different areas.

The same approach continued across the exterior decks, with new dining furniture, sun loungers, cushions and upholstered elements designed for use in a marine environment.

From Interior Design to Final Styling

As the project progressed, the clients placed further trust in us and expanded our involvement to include the yacht’s final styling and outfitting. We assisted them in selecting artworks, decorative objects, mattresses, bed linen and the complete range of textiles for the cabins and bathrooms, along with the other details needed to fully complete every space.

These final layers helped create a consistent atmosphere throughout the yacht, ensuring that the interior was not only renovated but fully prepared for the owners, their guests and the new season. The result is a cohesive whole that feels as though it has always looked this way.

Production and Installation

Our work covered the entire process, from the initial onboard survey, concept and visualisations to technical documentation, contractor coordination, production and final installation.

Many of the new and reupholstered elements were produced by carefully selected craftspeople in Serbia, according to our drawings and under our supervision. After quality control, all elements were carefully packed, exported and installed on board.

During installation, we checked every element in the actual space: its proportions, comfort and relationship with the existing interior. This was the point at which the visualisations, technical solutions and individually crafted pieces all had to work together in real conditions on board.

The Result

By combining the existing wood tones with softer textiles, neutral colours and carefully selected textures, we created an interior that feels calmer, lighter and more cohesive.

Silent World has retained her distinctive character while gaining a more contemporary atmosphere, better suited to her new owners and the way they want to use the yacht.
