Although it ended nearly two weeks ago, the Design Week in Milan left a big impression on us, just like last year. Since we have already talked about all the wonderful furniture and lighting products seen at the show, this time we’ll step into one of our favorite fields of interior design. And that is the office styling.
#1 The adjustable furniture
The first thing we realized is that this year the adjustable furniture is a huge hit. Here we talk about tables behind which employees can either sit or stand. Or they can be put down to the level of club chairs, in the case of some informal events in the office.
#2 Luxury desks
Luxury desks of big dimensions are partly covered with leather and decorated with interesting stitching. In our opinion, elements like these act as genuine sculptures in the office.
#3 Small elements covered in textile
Smaller furniture elements are mainly covered in leather and textiles. We can see them in pastel colors, various shades of pink, grass green, indigo and pastel blue, as well as in the shades of gray.
#4 The desk drawers in the role of the additional seat
This year, we have noticed one interesting and clever detail – the desk drawers in the role of the additional seat. This solution allows two people to sit at a table discussing the ongoing project without causing any fuss in the office.
#5 Office chairs
Both armchairs and simple office chairs are mostly rounded. There is a gentle transition between the back and armrests, so it might appear they have the liquid form.
#6 Leather chairs
Stitchings on the leather chairs are visible and have a decorative function.
#7 The handles on drawers
The handles on drawers and other additional elements usually have two versions. These are the small cylindrical handles for easy opening and the vertical handles.
#8 Flowers and greenery
Implementing flowers in the interiors seems almost unavoidable. This year’s Salone was almost flooded with all types of flowers and greenery, each more interesting than the other.
#9 Mini offices
In addition, we have noticed that many manufacturers pay more attention to the mini offices suitable for open space workplaces and coworking areas.
#10 The conference tables
This year, the conference tables are usually made of dark wood with striking structures, which are also carefully veneered and waxed. As seen in the featured photo, many designs were complemented with juicy pastel colors.
