Last year we got a very interesting call for a collaboration on the very innovative project – Marina Pods™, developed as a new alternative for a maritime tourism experience.

The idea of these guys, to provide an alternative to traditional marinas, providing more access to pristine land and seascapes with essential services is definitely something that we need these days in the yachting and marine industry.

When Ian Scarffe, The CEO of Marina Pods™ called us to design their solution, we were really thrilled to hear that someone found a solution for this very common problem – you want to enjoy in a perfect untouched bay, but you have to give away all luxury of the modern world. The Marina pod is solution powered by clean energy resources which gives you a possibility to enjoy in nature and in all services provided by one standard marina at the same time.

Salt & Water studio did the design of a standard Marina Pod. On one side there is a piece of nature brought on this floating structure, protecting from the wind at the same time, and on the other side, there is a lounge area with cafe, toilets and showers. We designed the roof to follow the shape of the waves and it is covered with the solar panels. The same design is incorporated in cafe elements -the bar area and the setting area. Whole space is in white colour and wooden texture which gives a perfect frame to the water and nature which is around.

On Marina Pods, you can take a break from cruising, you can go easier to the coast in shallow waters or just enjoy the spacious shower cabin and enjoy a good meal with your friends in a special location.
