Like every April, this spring we visited the Furniture Design Week (Salone del Mobile) in Milan. And just like every other time, we have returned home with bags full of impressions. In some of our previous blog posts, we wrote about the trends that we liked the most. Today, we highlight three that continued their spree throughout the other design fields.
A true insight into the contemporary design trends can only be gained if approached from different angles. This is why we strive to look at these trends both through the eyes of the interior designers, as well as the fashion designers. After all, fashion and interior have always been complimentary and having many mutual trends in one season is no surprise. Since the famous Fashion Week in Milan ended just a week ago, it might be the right time to analyze these trends a bit.
So, let’s see which trends have managed to overcome the gap between two design worlds.
Once again, pastels made a big comeback to the design scene. Yet, to make things a bit more interesting, we can now find them incorporated into the corporate world! Yes, pastel colors now rule both the runways shows and the modern office design. This trend is becoming more and more popular, and we can hardly wait to get our hand on such an interesting project.
This seems fun! Tiers are becoming a thing in the fashion industry and the furniture design does not hold back! Usually, we see them on lamps and chandeliers.
GOOD OLD RETRO STYLE
Let’s go Back to the Future a bit, shall we? This specific style is described as “retro with a twist”, and a week ago, it conquered Milan. The same retro-tendency has also been noticed this April on Salone del Mobile but in a different form.
