If you visited a page with our biographies, you’ve certainly noticed that we have a new girl in town. Ines Vladislav, the young architect, officially joined our team in May 2017. In the past couple of months, she had the opportunity to work on very interesting projects. Nowadays, she is usually in charge of visualization and 3D modeling. This time, we give you an opportunity to get to know our Ines through this brief interview.
Tell us what brought you into the world of architecture and what did your education look like in this area?
I was always amazed by design and the architectural studies program coincided with what I was then interested in. I graduated from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, where I also gained a Master’s degree. During the last years of my studies, I got interested in new technologies in architecture and design. This is why I chose the Master’s course called Digital Techniques, Design and Production in Architecture and Urban Planning at the same faculty.
What are your favorite tasks in our little studio?
Each project starts with research, which is my favorite part of the job. During the research phase, I’m looking for inspiration for the additional solutions to define the purpose of the project in more detail. I love finding creative and unique solutions that will later become part of the design. My favorite project I worked on so far was the interior of a small wine bar for clients from Montenegro. I learned a lot while working on it. I also got introduced to the style I did not work in before. It was very interesting to fit different details in that interior and I think that clients were also very happy with a final solution.
Tell us more about your thoughts on the contemporary architecture and design.
I like to think about the future of architecture and all the ways the design process will change in the future. Nowadays, architects need to be programmers in a way. I actually think that is a good thing because modern technology allows us to create new, unique and functional designs. On the other hand, I am very interested in the furniture design. I am intrigued by all the little details that make the design. There is no particular design style that I prefer because I believe that different styles are destined for different spaces.
How do you spend your spare time?
I live an active life and I commute to work by bike each day. I also love animals and there is nothing better for me than being surrounded by them. In my free time, I like to read and explore brand new technology innovations.
